The 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix was full of on track controversies. Lando Norris earned a dominant victory for McLaren which propelled him into the lead of the Drivers’ Championship over his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who struggled but finished P5. An incident occurred between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, where Hamilton was punished with a 10 second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage. This sparked a large debate over stewarding consistency. Furthermore, the excellent performance of Oliver Bearman, who finished P4 for Haas, and the late-race Virtual Safety Car that saved Charles Leclerc from an overtake by Verstappen for P2 were also among the hot topics of the Mexico Grand Prix.
